In this lesson, we’ll dive into two key foundations of floral artwork: color and layout. You’ll learn how to build a thoughtful color palette, explore contrast, and begin planning compositions that feel natural, balanced, and expressive.

Art Materials:
- W&N Designers Gouache: Zinc White, Spectrum Red, Primary Blue, Permanent Middle Green, Yellow Ochre, Ivory Black
(Feel free to substitute paint color and brands as needed)
- Round brush in size 5
- Drawing Diary Sketchbook or hot pressed watercolor paper
- Colored Pencils (optional) Luminance 741 & 015
- Water spray bottle
- Paint palette
